Allissa lectures at Harvard's Carr Center
On March 3, I gave a talk at Harvard University’s Carr Center about the rise of Black mobile journalism in Ukraine. I talked about the harrowing images of Africans who were attempting to cross the border from their Ukrainian homeland into neighboring countries, only to be stopped by police who forbade their entrance. As they took a knee, and starting filming the scenes with their cellphones, we were given yet another case study and testament to the power of Black witnessing. When you have a moment, listen to my full lecture on this rapidly developing issue.
